This interactive virtual session is designed for Directors of Clinical Education (DCEs) seeking practical strategies to support students experiencing challenges during clinical education. Through case-based discussion and collaborative problem-solving, participants will explore a variety of remediation plans tailored to common areas of student difficulty, including clinical reasoning, communication, professionalism, time management, and psychomotor performance. Attendees will discuss when and how to implement remediation, identify key components of an effective plan, and share best practices for collaborating with clinical instructors to promote student success while maintaining academic and clinical standards. Participants will leave with practical frameworks and adaptable tools that can be implemented within their own programs to support learner development and optimize clinical education outcomes.
